Thousands of Poltava people, who were dressed in “Vyshyvankas” (National Ukrainian embroidered shirts) walked through the main central streets – starting from White rotunda to Teatralna square.

The solemn procession was held within the framework of the art project "Poltava Vishivana". This festive event became a continuation of the City Day, which was celebrated the day before (on the 23rd of September).

A lot of musical and dance groups in ancient Ukrainian dresses, a column of soldiers, who are defending our land from Russian invaders now in Donbass region and many Poltava people and its guests participated in this procession. It was decorated by balloons, long embroidered towels and bright flowers in women's wreaths.

Festive atmosphere reigned at the final point of the route. In the center of the "Victory" park there were professional and amateur groups from Poltava and Kremenchuk, Kiev and other Ukrainian cities. The headliner of the program was the Japanese singer whose name was Sena Kana.

At the same time in other parts of the park there were workshops with different activities: embroidery, the creation of paintings and pottery, etc. At the same time guests and participants of the art project could buy works by Poltava artists, masters of embroidery and carving on wood, as well as enjoy delicious national dishes presented at the gastronomic festival.
