Title #0

Monument to died Ukrainian Cossacks
Address: crossing of Panyansky boulevard and Parizhskaya Kommuna streets.

The monument of Cossack glory was opened in 1994 on Panyansky boulevard. In such a way Poltava people paid tribute to the glorious sons of native land, who gave their lives for Ukraine’s freedom in the past.

АThe project’s authors are: the sculptor V. Bilous and the artist V.Baturin. There is an enormous Cossack cross on the monument’s top, and a laconic inscription: «To Ukrainian fallen Cossacks». Near the pedestal of the symbolic barrow there are two “bunchuks”. Many flowers are laid often on the monument’s pedestal as the symbol of respect to our own history and to our glorious Cossacks.
